History

The Cramer family moved to Geneva around 300 years ago. Since then, several members of the family have been bankers by profession. In 1709, Pierre Cramer de Brandis established a banking house with the name Cramer & Cie.

Over time, and throughout all the economic turbulence of the 1929 crisis and the Second World War, the Cramer family continued to operate as wealth managers under various designations, until 1932 when the business adopted the name of Messieurs Cramer & Cie. In July 2002, the bank merged with Compagnie Financière Norinvest (CFN) and became

a public limited company (société anonyme); on 19 March 2003, the Federal Banking Commission approved the establishment of Banque Cramer & Cie SA.

As part of the strategy of developing its financial arm, Norinvest Holding SA, the Bank’s sole shareholder, acquired Banque de Patrimoines Privés Genève BPG SA in May 2009. Following the merger of the two banks on 1 January 2010, Banque Cramer & Cie SA, with its financial situation reinforced and its client base extended, has continued to pursue its growth ambitions.
