Marco J. Netzer

Marco J. Netzer – Chairman

Mr Netzer (class of 1955, a graduate in Law from the University of Zurich, and a specialist in trust and commercial law) has extensive experience in the fields of banking and finance. He held a number of important positions at UBS both in Switzerland and in Hong Kong where, notably, his role included responsibility for Private Banking and Asset Management for the whole of the Asia region.

In 1998, he joined Banca del Gottardo as Chief Executive Officer for the entire Group, before becoming Chairman of Banque Cramer & Cie SA in 2006 and playing a key role in its development.

Additionally, he was appointed by the Federal Council as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the AVS Compensation Fund, and holds a number of positions including membership of the Management Committee of the Association of Swiss Commercial and Investment Banks.
